An essential part of the Christian life is being formed. This happens in a number of ways, and the Formation Track is designed to teach you what spiritual formation is, and introduce you to some spiritual disciplines in order to assist you in your formation.

Basics of Spiritual Growth: In this course you will wrestle with questions such as: How do you begin to grow spiritually? How do you continue to become more like Jesus? This course looks to the Lord's Prayer to give you a model, not only for praying, but also for growing spiritually each day as a follower of Jesus.

Spiritual Formation: The Christian life is not fundamentally about being a moral person, obeying a set of principles, or doing spiritual disciplines. The Christian life is about opening our heart to a relationship with the living God. As we depend on the indwelling Spirit and experience abiding in Christ, we will learn an obedience that comes without the burden of guilt and shame.

Prayer, Meditation, and Fasting:  How are we formed spiritually? We are primarily formed through the Spirit's work in us. But prayer, meditation, and fasting can help us learn to walk in communion with the living God. We can live a supernatural life that is empowered, led and filled with the Spirit.

Worship: Worship plays a crucial role in our spiritual formation. In this course, you will learn about the relationship between worship and formation by looking at worship in the Old and New Testaments. Your studies in this area also have practical implications as you engage in corporate worship as a local church.
