Pastor Jon Pickens
(Lead Pastor)
Greetings! I have been serving as the lead pastor at FBC since January of 2012. After serving students in the local church or camp ministry since 1994, God made it very clear that He wanted to use me to serve the local church by leading adults to a deeper level of discipleship. My passion is to see people pursue Jesus and be on mission with the Great Commission... to make disciples. I long to see Jesus' last words be the church's first priority. I graduated in 1996 from Cedarville University, and earned an MAR in Discipleship and Church Ministry from Liberty University School of Divinity in 2016. My wife, Trish, is my bride of 21 years and we have two children... Tori and Caleb. Tori graduated from Lowell High School in 2015 and Caleb will graduate in 2017. I love sports! I love to play golf and basketball with the guys. I also love to read and hang out with friends and family, and I dabble in music. If you come into the church, you will likely hear me break out in a random praise song... I can't help myself. I am blessed to be a part of such a great church family! If you would like to know more about my thoughts on the Scriptures, the Christian life, and current events, feel free to check out my Blog PJPickensjournal.blogspot.com. If you would like to contact me, you can email me at pj@fbclowell.org.

Pastor Andrew Bolkcom
(Pastor of Discipleship Ministries)
Hello! I have been serving as the Pastor of Discipleship Ministries at FBC since July 2018. In my role, I oversee the implementation of our Discipleship Pathway, which is our strategy for making disciples. Spiritual formation is not something that happens by accident. It takes personal intentionality and communal accountability. It is exciting to be part of a church community that is passionate about being formed into the image of Jesus, and I am privileged to oversee that pathway. I also oversee our student ministries. I graduated from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary in the Spring of 2017 with a Master of Divinity. During seminary, I served the local church primarily in the area of worship ministry and college ministry. I also worked for an audiovisual staging company first as an audiovisual technician and later as a sales account executive. I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Amy, since May 2014. My wife and I love eating great food with friends, hiking and camping, and going to concerts. I also love to play golf, and I love to read. If you’re ever reading a classic work of literature, I’d love to join you! If you would like to know more about FBC's Discipleship Pathway, please feel free to email me.
