STEWARDSHIP:

Faith and Stewardship

MAGNIFICATION TEAM - weaving together musical skills, spiritual gifts and dramatic abilities to weld the body in full-orbed, passionate worship.

One of the very best ways to connect is through the heart! Engaging yourself with God along with the larger body creates a deep, real espirit de corps from the inside out. Praise is powerful...and open, expressive, reflective and authentic worship together unites people in profound dimensions. In addition, this ministry is also a place to plug into with heart, hands and voice. There is special comaradarie to be enjoyed in choir, vocal ensembles, bands, praise teams and special musical events.

Description: The Magnification Team serves with the pastoral staff in planning all Sunday Worship and praise services including the praise band, choir and special music where and when needed. This Team coordinates music preparation, training and organization of the FBC music ministry. It will provide direction for the Audio Visual team, Drama team, Usher duties, and sanctuary use.

Responsibilities: Choir, Drama, Music, Praise band, Sound System/Visual equipment, Special services, Sunday Worship services, Alternative (ie. Saturday) service, Usher duties

And what is WORSHIP?

Worship is both the personal and corporate choice to delight in, lift up, brag on, honor and point to God in the fulness of His person, Father, Son and Spirit, experiencing the ultimate purpose and priority for which we were created, the Glory of God (Is 43:7; Ps 67:43-4; Acts 2:41-47) ,by an authentic response of every dimension of our being - mind, emotions, will and body.

Worship is a cry of kingdom revolution in a fallen world whereby we declare "No!" to the downstreaming culture and devilish temptations, and cry "Yes!" to the counter-kingdom values of Christ, championing Him as our true Savior, deepest Love and ultimate King.

Tuesday Prayer Service - 7:00PM

Tuesday evening is set-aside time for anyone who wishes to partner in prayer.  Generally some praise song is shared, a related Bible point, current requests, and then break-outs to take the Prayer Prompter needs to God together.

Pastor's Prayer Partners

A ministry of men praying with other men for our pastors.  Just as Moses hands were upheld by Aaron and Hur in the wildernss in the battle with the Amalekites, these men support the pastors in their ministry, and especially the preaching-teaching of God's Word.  They meet with the pastors prior to serivces, connect with the needs ahead, and pray over him.  They remain in the office during the AM teaching hour.  The team is divided up to care for each Sunday and also share in prayer for our worship of Giving on Sundays.  If you are interested in this vital ministry, contact our coordinator, George Watson.

Each Quarter, the Partners meet for a Saturday morning breakfast, a time of encouragement in the calling of prayer ministry, a sharing of needs, and a time of partnered-prayer for our ministries.

Ladies' Prayer

Prayer Chain

Our Deacon Care Groups provide phone-tree contact in cases of need and emergency.  Most of our special prayer needs are communicated via the FBC Email Prayer List to share and receive daily prayer requests with other members of the FBC body.  Contact the office to join.
