Get Connected!
One of our purposes at FBC as part of God's Church is to help believers CONNECT! To grow deeper in the connection with Jesus Christ as well as with one another. Just as a coal pulled away from the fire cools and stops contributing, so there is danger for us to be disconnected and sit dormant. Our goal is to nurture spiritual networking, interconnectivity, fellowship, community and sharing at every level. That's how He has wired us to become spiritually healthy and successful.
One of the key ways that you and your family can be CONNECTED to the Body is through the youth Sunday School age-groups and the Adult Bible Fellowship (ABF) flocks or groups. We have a space and place for persons of any age where they can feel included and cared for and where they can grow and be strengthened in christian community. A list of all our groups and classes and locations can be found at our literature table or here online.
Another way to pursue intentional CONNECTING is by participating in one of our "Seekers' Discover" class series. This is a special way to link up with other interested people, get to know them more directly, share personal time with a pastor, look at the basics of our christian faith, and review the goals, vision, mission, operation and heartbeat of FBC. These classes are normally offered at least twice a year or as needed.

Fellowship Survey - 2009
As we begin the study of ‘community’ within our church it is apparent that much of our fellowship with each other is internal (inside these four walls). In an effort to understand and grow in community with each other we would like to document what the extent of our fellowship is outside of our church. To that end we have designed this survey and hope you will participate as we seek to understand this, and how we might biblically increase if needed.
Our goal will be to measure the nature and frequency of how often our church family fellowships with each other outside of regular church functions. We do not need your name, only your statistics. Note: this is not a survey of the activities of ‘relatives’ but primarily your interaction with non-relatives.

The Bible calls all of the followers of Jesus "ministers." The goal of biblical teaching is to build us all to spiritual maturity and a place of fulfillment of our design for ministry. (Ephesians 4:11-16) We not about being spectators, but rather, servants, actively engaged in investing ourselves in the work and kingdom of Christ. We believe that believers are spiritually "wired" to minister to one another in the local church, rather than a small number of paid pastors bearing the total responsibility for care.
We have many areas encompassing our community-in-Christ living that anyone and everyone can plug into with their spiritual giftedness and skill-sets. Go to our INTERACTING WITH GOD'S PEOPLE page for a brief overview. CLICK HERE.
All new members are encouraged to complete a "Spiritual Gifts" assessment and fill out a "Time-Talents-Treasures" survey to indicate areas of their personal interest. These help us consider areas of individual passion and empowerment.
How are you helping to share weekly kingdom opportunities and responsibilities?

- Joining the Team - MEMBERSHIP
Membership provides a spiritual family to support and encourage believers in their walk with Christ. Investigate it by participating in one of our "Seekers' Discover" class series, normally offered twice a year or as needed/requested.
Why Should I Consider “joining hands” with a local church like First Baptist? Because... It is important to God!
- The Church is Christ’s Work
Jesus is building it and is Himself the chief corner-stone (Mt 16.18; Eph 2.20) It is pictured as His body, through which He ministers in the world (Eph 4.1-16). And it is the bride of Christ—to whom He is committed and for whom He gave His own life (Eph 5:25)
- The Local Church is the New Testament’s Focus.
The Apostle Paul’s ministry and various letters are local church oriented. A local church, like FBC, is a visible part of Christ’s body, a group of professing believers from an area who join together to worship and to do Christ’s work.
What are the advantages and benefits of identifying with a local church like FBC?
